CCFI was founded by a group of volunteers who gave up their time freely to help the children of Belarus.

About CCFIChildren of Chernobyl Foundation Ireland (CCFI)

Children of Chernobyl Foundation Ireland (CCFI) is a totally registered charity relying purely on donations and fundraisers organised by volunteers.

Volunteers travel to Belarus twice yearly working side by side to help with building and renovation projects in schools and orphanages, and all the work is carried out to the highest standard possible.

We are dedicated to helping those who live in contaminated areas destroyed by the worst nuclear disaster which happened in Chernobyl in 1986.

Each year CCFI bring children from Belarus to Ireland for much needed rest and recuperation.

The children come and stay with host families from all over the country.

The children come twice yearly, at summer time and at christmas.

Hosting these amazing children can be one of the most rewarding experiences in your life.

The holidays boost the children’s immune systems and instill a sense of positivity which can be lacking in many of their lives.
